Melissa R. Knight, LCSW, ACHT
I am so happy that you chose to look through my site and make a decision about your healing and treatment!
My name is Melissa Knight. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and an Advanced Clinical Hypnotherapist. I studied at Mississippi State University and the University of Southern Mississippi where I obtained my Masters Degree in Social Work. Since graduation, I have continued my studies specializing in healing trauma and Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy. I hold Certification as a Social Work Licensure Supervisor for Mississippi, as a Certified Personal Transformation Intensive (PTI) Leader, and a Certified Release Therapist. My hypnotherapy training comes from the Wellness Institute in Washington State where I have been studying for 8 years. I am also experienced in working with the subtle energy systems of the body.
My desire to join the mental health field came at a young age and I have pursued my career since my first day in college. I started in the field of trauma in 2003 where I worked for the Children's Advocacy Center, a non-profit organization centered around advocating, treating, and working with trauma victims and their families. I have experience in both non-profit and hospital based settings. I have worked in residential treatment for adolescents and children, private agencies benefiting children, adults, and families, and began private practice in 2008.
Conscious Healing Therapies, LLC opened in May 2008 as a dream come true. My heart and passion is in working with clients who want to heal. I absolutely LOVE my job and my clients. My goal is to develop therapeutic relationships that create safety, provide healing, and allow clients the framework to develop themselves.
